The Foundry Commission
The Foundry Commission is a community that believes true spiritual awakening leads to the renewal and transformation of societies beyond church walls, especially the marketplace. We exist to support the Church via a four-fold ministry to consecrate, connect, catalyze and commission the marketplace saints into their holy God-given calling.

Matthew Hulbert
Matthew Hulbert grew up in Perry, Georgia, a small city in the middle of the state. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia in 2004, and a Juris Doctorate from Mercer Law School in 2007. He practiced in his hometown for nearly eleven years, working his way into a practice primarily focused on business and transactional law, taking care of the wide variety of issues that businesses face every day, and municipal law, serving as the acting city attorney until God called he and his family to move to Kentucky to attend Asbury Theological Seminary.
He obtained a Masters of Divinity from Asbury in 2022, and began working at First Methodist Church of Shreveport, La. as an associate pastor. An elder in the Global Methodist Church, Matthew is the lead pastor of FaithLink, the contemporary worship service at FMC Shreveport. He also directs the Leadership and Business Ministry for the church. Matthew fully believes that God has His eyes on this church and on the city of Shreveport, and that God’s hand is going to move mightily in this city.
The local church has a significant role to play in God’s work coming to fruition, and the marketplace will be both an evidence of God at work, and an agent of that continuing work. The sphere of business is not separate from the realm of faith and bridging those two worlds is a passion Matthew continues to pursue.
